Configure the weekly hours of each shop of your repair center, with a morning/afternoon split: the same hours feed the public page and customers' online bookings.
Working hours are the simplest piece of information and, at the same time, the most consulted by anyone looking for a smartphone and PC repair shop: knowing whether a shop is open right now, or when it closes, often determines whether a customer shows up in person or looks for an alternative. On Fixh IT, every shop can have its own weekly hours configured day by day, with the option to manage up to two time slots per day (typically morning and afternoon, to handle the lunch break).
Why it matters for a repair shop
For a single repair shop, always having correct hours in the system saves staff from having to answer phone questions a customer could already find out on their own, and keeps what staff say aligned with what the system shows online. For a network with multiple shops, managing hours per shop matters even more: a shopping mall location may stay open even on Sundays, while a historic-center shop may close on Monday mornings or during lunch; each shop has different needs tied to the customer flow of its own area, and a single uniform schedule for the whole company would not reflect the operational reality of each location.
How it works
Configuration happens day by day, from Monday to Sunday, for each shop selected from the dropdown at the top of the page. For each day you can set up to two complete time slots (start and end time of the first slot, start and end time of the second), useful to correctly represent a lunch break or a midweek closure. If a day has no hours, you simply leave it without any slots configured: the system automatically treats it as a closed day for that shop.
To speed up filling in the schedule, especially when many days share the same hours, a function is available to copy the hours from the previous day of the week: handy for shops with identical hours from Tuesday to Saturday, where you only need to set the slot once and then replicate it on the following days instead of re-entering it manually every time. It is also possible to quickly clear the hours of a single day, for instance in case of a recurring special closure on a given weekday.
The configured hours do not stay confined to the administrative section: they automatically feed the company's public page, where each shop shows its up-to-date hours to visitors, and they determine the slots actually available when a customer tries to book an online appointment for that shop, if the public booking feature is enabled. This way a customer can never book a time the shop cannot actually honor, because the calendar only offers the slots compatible with what has been configured.
Quick guide
- Go to Company > Working hours.
- Select the shop to configure from the dropdown at the top, if your company has multiple shops.
- For each day of the week, set the opening and closing time of the first slot (e.g. morning).
- If the shop closes for lunch, also add the second time slot (e.g. afternoon).
- For closed days, simply leave the slots empty: the system marks them as closed.
- Use the "copy from previous day" function to speed up filling in days with the same hours.
- Save the changes: the hours are immediately applied to the public page and to online bookings, if enabled.
- Repeat the configuration for each shop by selecting it from the dropdown, if your company has multiple shops.
Real use cases
A repair shop inside a shopping mall sets continuous hours from 10:00 to 20:00 every day, Sundays included, to align with the mall's opening hours; a second shop of the same company, located in a historic center, instead has split hours with a lunch break and is closed on Monday mornings, reflecting the habits of customers in that area.
A shop that often receives appointment requests outside opening hours enables public bookings linked to the configured schedule: from that point on, customers only see the actually available slots online and can no longer accidentally book a time when the lab is closed.
A network of shops introducing a new summer schedule with an earlier Saturday closing updates the configuration in each shop from the dropdown, knowing that the change is immediately reflected on the company's public page, preventing customers from showing up at the shop trusting the old winter schedule.
Tips and best practices
Update the hours ahead of a seasonal change or a special closure, so the public page and bookings immediately reflect the new situation without leaving a window of misalignment. Use the copy-from-previous-day function to reduce typing errors when several days share the same hours: it is faster and less prone to typos than manually re-entering every slot. If a shop has a particularly complex schedule (for instance different hours between high and low season), keep an internal note of when it needs updating, so you do not forget the change at the end of the period. Periodically check that the hours shown on the public page truly match the real ones, for example by opening the public link as a customer for a visual check.
Common mistakes to avoid
A frequent mistake is editing a shop's hours while assuming you are on the right shop, without checking which one is selected in the dropdown at the top: in a company with multiple shops, this can lead to accidentally saving the hours of the wrong location. Another mistake is leaving time slots partially filled in (for example only an opening time without a closing time), which can produce unexpected behavior when calculating booking slots. Finally, avoid forgetting to update the hours after a temporary special closure (holidays, works, local festivities): if nothing is changed, the system keeps treating the shop as open according to the standard schedule and online bookings remain active even on days it is actually closed.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set different hours for each shop in my company? Yes, each shop has its own weekly hours independent from the others, selectable from the dropdown at the top of the page.
Can I manage a lunch break with two time slots on the same day? Yes, for each day you can set up to two complete time slots, typically morning and afternoon.
How do I indicate that a shop is closed on a given day? Simply leave that day's time slots empty: the system automatically treats it as a closed day.
Is there a quick way to replicate the same hours across multiple days? Yes, there is a function that automatically copies the hours from the previous day of the week.
What does a customer see if they try to book an appointment outside opening hours on the public page? If public bookings are enabled, the calendar only shows the slots compatible with that shop's configured hours, so closed hours cannot be selected.
If I change the hours, does the public page update on its own? Yes, as soon as you save the changes, the public page and the booking-slot calculation immediately reflect the new schedule.
