Repair statistics: turnaround times, revenue, technicians and most repaired devices

Fixh IT repair statistics show opened and delivered repairs, revenue, profit, average turnaround time and work in the lab, broken down by technician, brand, device type and model, day by day or by month and year.

Repair statistics answer the questions every repair shop owner asks: how many repairs come in and go out, how much we collect, how long it takes to deliver, who works the most and on which devices. In Fixh IT you find them under Administration > Repairs > Repair statistics, with daily, history, monthly and yearly views.

Why it matters for a repair shop

Without numbers it is hard to understand where the lab loses time or margin. Knowing that the average turnaround time has gone up, that one smartphone model accounts for a quarter of the work or that a technician is overloaded lets you reorganise work, buy the right parts and set fairer prices.

In practice

The main indicators are opened and delivered repairs, revenue on paid repairs with the related profit, repairs with and without a receipt, value of work items, average turnaround time, repairs in the lab now and urgent ones. Each period is compared with the previous one. Rankings show the most repaired devices, brands, device types and technicians, with opened and delivered repairs for each.

The Daily report lists, repair by repair, what was opened, delivered, paid or receipted on a given day, with revenue, parts cost and profit. You can filter by technician, repair type, device type and brand, and download everything as PDF, Excel or CSV. Historical data is precalculated every night, while today is always updated in real time.

Quick guide

  1. Open Administration > Repairs > Repair statistics.
  2. Choose the shop and the view: daily, history, monthly or yearly.
  3. Set the period, for example the last 30 days.
  4. Apply the filters you need, such as technician or brand.
  5. Read indicators and rankings, then export the report if needed.

Real use cases

The owner notices that the average turnaround time has gone from 2 to 4 days: from the details they discover that many repairs are waiting for the same part and increase the stock.

A lab compares technicians at the end of the month and distributes urgent repairs better.

Every evening the manager checks the daily report to make sure all paid repairs have a receipt.

Tips and best practices

Always assign a technician to every repair: otherwise it ends up among the "unassigned" and the per-technician statistics lose value. Enter parts as work items with their cost, so profit is realistic. Combine these statistics with shop statistics and POS revenue reports.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not compare periods of different length without taking it into account. Do not mark repairs as delivered before they are actually collected, or the average turnaround time will be distorted.
