Create your company's first shop on Fixh IT with tax details, address and bank details: the mandatory first step before using Repairs, Warehouse and POS in this software for repair centers.
On Fixh IT every repair, warehouse movement and POS sale is always linked to a specific shop. Before you can start using the software you must create at least one shop/location from Company > Shop management: it is the first configuration step, a prerequisite for everything else, turning Fixh IT into a fully operational software for smartphone and PC repair centers.
Why it matters for a repair shop
A shop is not just a label: it is the organizational unit around which all the daily operations of a repair center revolve. Every repair taken in, every spare part deducted from the warehouse and every receipt issued at the counter belongs to a specific shop, with its own tax details, its own address and, where the country requires it, its own bank details for payments. For a single repair shop, this means having a consistent data structure from day one to build correct fiscal documents on; for a network of several shops, it means being able to clearly separate the repairs, warehouse and cash register of each location, while still keeping everything under the same company account.
In practice
The shop represents the physical location of your business: it has a name, a legal business name, a full address (street, zip code, city, province), a phone number and, if your company handles electronic invoicing, its own VAT number, tax code, certified email (PEC) and SDI code, distinct from the company's general ones set in Company > Settings. You can also configure the shop's bank details (bank name, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT and account holder), useful when the shop itself issues documents requiring payment data.
If your company has more than one store or lab you can create multiple shops (multi-location management): each one has its own repairs, its own warehouse and its own cash register, while data and statistics remain available at the company level from the Company dashboard. For a chain of repair centers, this multi-location structure is what makes Fixh IT a true software for service centers: each shop works independently on its own daily workflow, while the owner or manager can always compare performance across the different shops of the same company, without having to access separate systems.
The number of shops you can create is not unlimited: it depends on your company's active subscription plan. Once you reach the plan's limit, the system blocks the creation of new shops until you deactivate an existing one or upgrade. Every shop can also be deactivated (instead of deleted) if it temporarily stops operating, keeping the entire history of repairs and sales linked to it intact.
Quick guide
- Go to Company > Shop management.
- Click "Add shop" and enter the shop's name, legal business name and full address (street, zip code, city, province).
- Enter the phone number and, if available, the shop's specific tax details (VAT number, tax code, PEC, SDI code).
- If needed, also fill in the shop's bank details (bank, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT, account holder).
- Set the shop's opening hours from Company > Staff management > Working hours.
- Save: the shop will immediately be available for the Repairs, Warehouse and POS modules.
- Repeat the procedure if you want to add more shops to your company, within your plan's limit.
Real use cases
A technician opening their first smartphone repair lab creates a single shop with their own tax details: from that moment they can log repairs, load spare parts into the warehouse and issue POS receipts, all automatically linked to that shop.
A company taking over a second repair shop in another city creates a second shop with its own address and tax details: the warehouse and cash register of the new location stay separate from the first, but the owner can compare performance across both shops from the company dashboard.
A network temporarily closing a shop for renovation work deactivates it instead of deleting it: the shop's repair and sales history remains available, and the shop can be reactivated as soon as the work is done.
Tips and best practices
Fill in the shop's tax details carefully from the start, especially if you plan to issue electronic invoices: incorrect VAT number, tax code or certified email can cause invoicing problems. If you run multiple shops, use clear, recognizable names (e.g. "Milan Repair Center - Via Torino") to avoid confusion among technicians working across several locations. Check the shop limit included in your plan before planning to open new locations, so you can schedule an upgrade in time if needed.
Common mistakes to avoid
A common mistake is starting to work in Repairs, Warehouse or POS without first creating the shop: these modules cannot be used until at least one active shop is linked to the company. Another mistake is confusing a shop's tax details with the company's general ones set in Company > Settings: if your network has shops with different VAT numbers, it's important to fill in each shop's tax details correctly, not just the company-wide ones. Finally, deleting a shop instead of deactivating it permanently loses all its links: always prefer deactivation if you think you might reactivate it in the future.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Fixh IT without creating a shop? No, creating at least one shop is a mandatory first step: the Repairs, Warehouse and POS modules are always linked to a specific shop.
Can I edit a shop's details later? Yes, you can update address, tax details, contacts and bank details at any time from the same section.
How many shops can I create? The number of available shops depends on your company's active subscription plan: you can check it from Company > Modules and plan.
Does each shop have its own VAT number? It can, if your network uses distinct VAT numbers per location; otherwise you can leave the shop's tax details aligned with the company's general ones.
What happens if I deactivate a shop instead of deleting it? The shop stops being operational and no longer counts against the plan limit, but its entire history of repairs, warehouse and sales remains available, and the shop can be reactivated at any time.
Do I need a different shop for each technician? No, a shop can host multiple technicians and employees: the shop represents the physical location, not individual users, who are managed separately from Company > Staff management.
